Mike “Spike” Spikerman, our founder, grew up in Hawaii. Never far from water, he made his passion his business. Today, California Kahuna Surf School work with customers across the globe.

To provide the aspiring surfer instruction in a safe, structured, high quality and experiential manner that is delivered in a fun, consistent, and purposeful way with friendly, experienced and insightful instructors.

We love thrills, and growing this business from our founder Mike “Spike” Spikerman  to the company it is today has been nothing short of exhilarating. We share our customers' passion for sports and the outdoors, especially those pastimes that don't have uniforms or referees.
